Let it snow...

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I love the snow, but not the driving part. Good thing I've got the next two weeks off.

Mark's New Truck

I got myself a new truck for my birthday! I've been wanting a diesel truck and researching this particular purchase for years now and got exactly what I wanted. This truck is the last model year with the venerable Cummins 5.9 diesel.

Out with the old, in with the new.

Spooky Camping Trip

We took a late season camping trip to Sequim Bay National Park with Bob & Michelle and their nieces. It was cold but the weather was relatively clear and the trailers kept us cozy at night.

We read scary stories around the campfire and roasted marshmallows every night.

Bob and I got up early on Saturday and drove into the hills to see if he could bag a deer. We drove 20 miles into the woods and never saw one though.

We found a pumpkin patch outside of town so we could carve jack-o-lanterns.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Jen participated in the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk and they needed a photographer so I went to help cover the event.

The Relay For Life of Tacoma Strides Team

The walk started at Stadium High School...

...and covered 5k through some beautiful neighborhoods and around Wright Park

The team and the headless Paulsman!

Grace as her usual cute self!

Blowing Glass

A group of our friends decided to go to the Tacoma Glassblowing Studio to try our hand at blowing glass. We all got to pick the shape and colors of the glass and then it was into the hot shop to learn how it's done.

The finished results. (Like the shirts? - We're cool like that!)

Jack Sandvig 1927 - 2008

We lost a fellow tequila drinker this week. Jen's grandfather Jack Sandvig passed away Sept. 24th.

As a tribute to Jack we took a trip to one of his favorite stores: Cabelas.

Jack was an avid outdoorsman and always had a good story to tell about his "Lewd and Crude" crew of hunters.

Can you see me?

Jack was an bow hunter and killed an impressive big horn so this display reminded us of him.

Jack we miss you... give 'em hell up there!
