Sky with her Great Grandpa
After spending the day in Seattle with him and tests and the beginning of a cancer treatment plan I learned that the cancer hardly matters. He has a lot of health issues, and I'm so very thankful Sky enjoyed every second of both her Grandpa's being here for a couple of days, and that we got to see such a tender moment between the two of them.

That child is so precious, she was a saving grace for Grandpa, he hasnt stopped talking about her since he got home, That child is truely a gift from God in more ways than anybody will ever know. I wish I got to spend that much time with her, but not under these circumstances. Steve was a little road weary when he got home. Please give that darling little girl a kiss from Grandma. Love Val

My brain is still very numb from that day. After mom died dad clearly lived life to die and go be with ‘Jeanne’. Stan survives his cancer and now dad wants to live. Clearly, with all his health issues we will be without him much too soon. This picture will be forever the most positive, and the most tender part of his last days. We need this one framed and in dad’s room to give him some happiness in the final chapters of his life.
