This weekend was an emotionally odd one for me. I spent Saturday afternoon at a Baby shower celebrating a new life entering this world. And then Sunday went to a funeral.
I didn't know Nadia, but Mark talked about her often and from what he told me I knew she was a special person. After the service today my heart is truly sad for all her friends, family, co-workers, and the world in general. The world needs people like Nadia in it and she left too soon.
I can't wait to meet Josh and Meka's new family member towards the end of March and I'm sad that I never had the chance to get to know Nadia. I think she was someone I would have been better for knowing.
